the year that was

{above are a few of my favorite outfits from this year}

At the beginning of 2011 I listed my goals for the year. Let's see how I fared.

goal #1 -- learn how to crochet or sew
I certainly can't sew, and my crocheting skills are only marginally better than they were last year. I give myself a D on this goal.

goal # 2 -- stop putting myself in awkward situations
A+. I'm much better about this.

goal # 3 -- cook more
I cook as much as time allows and I'm satisfied with that. I'll give myself a B.

goal # 4 -- learn how to use my camera
I still have a lot to learn, I'm much more knowledgeable than I was this time last year. Grade, B.

goal # 5 -- buy clothing I love, wear outfits that make me feel good
This is still a work in progress. I'll give myself a C.

Goal # 6 -- Work out more often
I was an abject failure in this department. An F is the only appropriate grade.

Goal # 7 -- Stick to a budget
Grade, C. I stumbled a bit with this goal (particularly at the beginning of the year), but now I feel pretty confident about my ability to manage my money.

Goal # 8 -- color my hair
A+. The color was subtle, but I dyed my hair a couple of times this year.

Assuming all my goals are equally waited, my grade on the year is a  C+. As far as New Year's Resolutions go, that's not too bad for me. It really was a wonderful year. I learned so much about myself and am as confident in myself as I've ever been. I'm excited for the year to come and hope you all have a wonderful new year. See you all in 2012!
